TYLER FREEMAN DESIGN
To bridge the gap between sneakerheads and the ordinary with storytelling, to promote inclusivity in the sneakerworld through branding and publication.
Creating a sneaker boutique inspired by the history of sneaker culture embedded in 90s culture and hip-hop, taking heavy inspiration from the 1991 manifesto coined “Confessions of a sneaker addict” by sneaker father Bobbito Garcia.
Bobbito Garcia coined his sneaker manifesto “Confessions of a sneaker addict” and nestled it into the pages of rap’s bible. His 1991 essay piece would predict the epic rise of sneaker culture on paper whilst casually hyping the emergence of a revolution. The epic sequel of Bobbito’s bible sees Brand X reintroduce the epic sneaker culture and what made it so famous - back to its roots we celebrate the beginnings of sneaker culture and look ahead to the future of popular cultures most redefining movement. Michael Jordan,
Run DMC, N.W.A and Kool Moe Dee, all have one thing in
common - kicks.
